Embodied AI Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Hybrid role based in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, or Santa Clara, California, United States

Salary: $150,000–$210,000 USD annually, depending on experience and location.

What you will do

• Implement, debug, and optimize VLA, diffusion and flow-matching policies, world models, and other model architectures from prototype through reliable deployment.
• Build scalable training and evaluation infrastructure for robot foundation models and on-robot deployment stacks.
• Architect large-scale data pipelines combining simulation, generative AI, teleoperation, and real-world data collection.
• Work directly with robot hardware, bring up new platforms, debug real-world failures, and connect simulation with deployment.
• Collaborate with research teams and hardware partners to integrate embodied AI systems into LG consumer products and technical roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant industry or research experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years, in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python or C++ and experience across the stack from data pipelines to deployed models.
• Hands-on experience training and deploying robot foundation models, building robot-learning data pipelines, or developing infrastructure for manipulators or mobile robots.
• Experience with RGB/depth cameras, force-torque or tactile sensors, simulation, teleoperation, or generative data augmentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with research scientists and translating ideas into shipped systems.

Nice to have

• PhD in a relevant technical field.
• Familiarity with world models, spatial intelligence, and learning from demonstration.
• Contributions to open-source robotics or machine-learning infrastructure tooling.
