What you will do

• Lead and support structural and bridge design tasks for highway bridges, pedestrian bridges, culverts, and walls.
• Perform structural analysis, engineering calculations, load-rating evaluations, and design checks.
• Develop and review structural plans, specifications, estimates, and high-quality technical reports.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior staff and EITs.
• Coordinate with internal project managers, local governments, and UDOT.
• Conduct conceptual engineering studies and provide technical recommendations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in civil/structural engineering with a focus on bridge design.
• Professional Structural Engineer (SE) or PE license, or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
• Demonstrated experience with AASHTO LRFD standards, concrete design, and steel design.
• Proficiency with Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) or other MicroStation-based platforms.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Draper, Utah.

Nice to have

• Experience with Mathcad, Erickson Culvert, BGS, PGSuper, RISA, LEAP Bridge Suite, or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
