Transportation Intern (Civil Engineering)

What you will do

• Prepare reports, cost estimates, specifications, design calculations, and construction material quantities.
• Draft working plans and detailed drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) and engineering software.
• Analyze and revise maps, charts, exhibits, diagrams, and as-built maintenance records.
• Participate in construction support tasks, including responding to submittals and RFIs.
• Visit project sites as a member of the design team.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an ABET accredited university pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• Completion of core civil engineering coursework and current enrollment in upper-level division courses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Walnut Creek, California.
• Physical ability to operate a company vehicle and lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
