Senior DevOps Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote (Must be based in the US)

What you will do

• Build tooling to help Data Science and Engineering teams expedite, validate, and measure product deliverables.
• Roll out infrastructure and processes aligned with a cross-organization DevOps mindset and culture.
• Provide system administration and operations support for existing pipelines and infrastructure.
• Introduce and maintain telemetry tools for application performance, exception handling, and logging.
• Manage high-availability systems, service updates, and participate in 24x7 SRE rotations.
• Define, implement, and reinforce data engineering best practices and standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS (Compute, Networking, Storage, Database, and Security).
• Proficiency with Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, and Shell within a UNIX/Linux environment.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or AWS Glue.
• Understanding of event-driven and streaming workflows with Kafka and Spark.

Nice to have

• Experience building data science environments like Sagemaker or Databricks, including MLflow.
• Experience building deployment pipelines for ML models using GitHub integrations with DBT.
• Knowledge of indexing and search technologies like Elasticsearch or SOLR.
