What you will do

• Lead the Second Line of Defense by identifying, assessing, monitoring, and managing material risks across business activities.
• Define and continuously evolve the Risk & Compliance framework aligned with business strategy, regulatory expectations, and growth ambitions.
• Oversee emerging risks, key risk trends, and strategic initiatives, providing independent challenge and actionable insights to senior management.
• Ensure effective governance via robust risk reporting, meaningful management information, policies, and governance forums.
• Engage with regulators, external auditors, and key partners; represent the company on Risk & Compliance matters.
• Promote risk culture and advise teams early in product/service design and delivery; drive continuous improvement of the control environment using automation and data-driven risk management.

Requirements

• Location: based in Spain (Madrid) with remote working flexibility.
• 10+ years of experience in Risk Management or related control functions within fintech or financial services.
• Spanish: professional fluency required.
• English: professional fluency required.
• Deep expertise in Technology Risk, Cybersecurity Risk, and Operational Resilience, including modern technology architectures, cloud environments, APIs, third-party services, and secure software development practices.
• Experience designing and operating enterprise risk management frameworks and providing independent Second Line oversight over technology transformation and operational change.
