What you will do

• Design and adapt technical strategy for search, leveraging full-text search, vector databases, LLMs, and NLP.
• Improve search latency and relevance across the platform.
• Collaborate with ML and product teams to translate user needs into search innovations.
• Research and apply emerging technologies in information retrieval to improve index quality and freshness.
• Develop and deploy reliable, scalable, and performant search systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in backend software development.
• 3+ years of experience in search, information retrieval, or related fields.
• U.S. Person status is required.
• Expertise in NLP, machine learning, indexing, ranking, query parsing, and vector search.
• Hands-on experience with major search engines like Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
• Familiarity with search evaluation frameworks such as precision, recall, and NDCG.
