Director, Data Science (AI)

Location: Must be based in the United States (Remote or hub-based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY)

Salary: $290,000 - $376,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of data scientists and managers focusing on product strategy and impact measurement.
• Champion data quality and democratization across the organization.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Finance leadership to drive strategic impact.
• Develop measurement frameworks for AI products, including evals and experimentation for LLM-powered agents.
• Create a positive, accountable work environment through strong leadership and partnership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience managing Data Science teams, including 2+ years managing other managers.
• 7+ years of professional experience in AI, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven track record of building or measuring AI products such as LLM assistants, agents, or chatbots.
• Expertise in statistical methods, experimentation, and forecasting.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Ability to scale teams in high-growth environments.
