What you will do

• Manage and mentor the IT operations team, providing technical guidance and coaching.
• Own and scale the AWS environment, focusing on architecture, cost optimization, and security.
• Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for containerized and hardware-dependent services.
• Establish operational maturity through documentation, runbooks, and change management processes.
• Partner with engineering teams to enable fast, safe deployments and system reliability.
• Lead incident response and conduct post-mortems to reduce recurring technical issues.

Requirements

• Must be based in Latam
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, ECS, Fargate, IAM).
• Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design and deployment automation.
• Proven experience in managing and developing technical team members.
• Track record of implementing operational processes like incident response and documentation.
• Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and infrastructure-as-code.

Nice to have

• Experience optimizing costs for ML/GPU workloads.
• Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with monitoring tools like DataDog, CloudWatch, or Grafana.
• Background in SRE practices and SOC 2 compliance.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Ruby.
