What you will do
- Lead the complete development cycle for the mathematics team, including defining, prioritizing, implementing, and testing new product features.
- Establish and improve product development processes in collaboration with process leaders and business partners.
- Manage daily team activities, project plans, delivery commitments, staffing, and department resources.
- Coach and mentor mathematicians through regular one-to-one meetings and development planning.
- Collaborate with technical groups across Class II, Historical Horse Racing, online social and iGaming, and lottery markets.
- Track operational metrics and alerts, direct portfolio solutions, and recommend technically feasible and financially sound options.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience directing and supervising mathematicians or technical specialists.
- Strong foundation in mathematics and gaming, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical and creative challenges.
- Experience establishing, directing, and advancing product development processes.
- Experience coaching and mentoring team members and collaborating across diverse technical groups and markets.
- Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, and project leadership skills.
- Results-oriented approach focused on delivering high-quality products and continuously improving operations.
