Senior Data Platform Engineer (GCP/BigQuery)

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and enhance core data platform infrastructure across Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git repositories, and BigQuery.
• Support scalable and reliable data replication, transformation, modeling, and platform operations.
• Develop internal tooling, container images, automation, and workflows for Data Engineering teams.
• Manage Terraform-based infrastructure while applying security, governance, access control, and data lifecycle standards.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, and incident management with GCP Alerts, Monte Carlo, PagerDuty, or similar tools.
• Optimize infrastructure usage, resource allocation, and cloud spending while promoting engineering standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional Data Engineering experience.
• Hands-on Python or Go experience for infrastructure, automation, and platform tooling.
• Strong practical experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with BigQuery, data pipelines, data modeling, SQL troubleshooting, query optimization, and dbt operations.
• Experience implementing CI/CD, Git workflows, package management with Poetry or uv, testing, reliability practices, and observability tooling.
• Upper-intermediate or higher English, strong communication and mentoring skills, and readiness to work in Agile, remote-first environments.
