Operational Security & Loss Prevention Specialist

Location: Must be based in Sydney or Adelaide, Australia; predominantly on-site at venues across NSW, SA, and TAS, with a scheduled rotational weekend roster.

What you will do

• Lead complex on-site investigations into internal theft, fraud, significant cash losses, and stock losses.
• Analyse procedural irregularities and variance data, identify root causes, and support investigative interviews and targeted venue training.
• Respond to critical security incidents and criminal activity, implementing risk mitigation and root-cause strategies.
• Develop physical security programs covering alarms, cash protection, and target hardening, while coaching venue leaders on controls.
• Conduct unannounced, risk-based venue visits and holistic reviews to identify vulnerabilities and deliver localised training.
• Build relationships with police, regulators, security vendors, and external partners; prepare evidence briefs for police action and court outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in loss prevention, corporate security, or Endeavour Operations.
• Experience in multi-site loss prevention or corporate security; law enforcement experience is advantageous.
• Expertise in formal investigative techniques, interviewing, evidence gathering, physical security controls, cash handling controls, and internal fraud prevention.
• Strong commercial and data analysis skills, with the ability to translate loss prevention insights into risk strategies.
• Strong communication, influencing, coaching, autonomy, resilience, and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a hands-on field role with substantial venue presence and weekend roster availability.

Nice to have

• Previous venue management experience.
• Proficiency with Google Suite, Tableau, and Google Slides.
• Understanding of POS and gaming policies and procedures.
