Senior Security Specialist (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead vulnerability assessments across networks, applications, and cloud environments, providing risk-based remediation guidance.
• Plan and execute advanced penetration testing across network, web, and cloud layers with prioritized recommendations.
• Optimize security controls, including firewall policies, network segmentation, and endpoint hardening.
• Monitor, investigate, and coordinate response efforts for complex security incidents and root cause analysis.
• Manage bug bounty submissions and collaborate with engineering teams to remediate confirmed issues.
• Implement AI-assisted tools and automation to improve security testing, triage, and threat analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, ethical hacking, and web application penetration testing.
• Proficiency with tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus, Qualys, and SIEM platforms like Splunk.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, OWASP Top 10, and AWS security controls (IAM, networking).
• Ability to explain technical risks to non-technical stakeholders with excellent communication skills.
• Must be willing to work on-site in i-City Shah Alam.

Nice to have

• Industry certifications such as OSCP, CEH, Security+, eJPT, eWPT, or GIAC.
