What you will do

• Inspect, repair, and maintain diesel locomotive engines and mechanical components including running gears.
• Test and restore brake systems, air compressors, safety valves, and fuel systems.
• Install, disassemble, and replace diesel engine components.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and diagnose malfunctions in engines and air equipment.
• Operate in a safety-sensitive environment under diverse and extreme weather conditions.
• Adhere to strict safety rules, policies, and federal/state regulations.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to report for duty in Mandan, ND.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license required.
• English proficiency: Ability to read, write, and communicate.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and perform physical tasks (climbing ladders, bending, standing).
• Must have valid US employment authorization without sponsorship.
