What you will do

• Develop and maintain the Spectrum edge dataplane for TCP/UDP connection handling and TLS termination.
• Build and scale the Spectrum control plane for configuration management and global provisioning.
• Integrate Spectrum with core L3/L4 services like Unimog, Magic Transit, and Argo Smart Routing.
• Optimize performance and reliability of high-throughput edge network daemons.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to ensure production stability.
• Collaborate across teams to evolve the L4 proxy stack and pay down technical debt.

Requirements

• Strong programming experience in Go.
• Solid understanding of L3/L4 networking including TCP, UDP, IP, and anycast.
• Experience with Linux networking primitives such as sockets, eBPF, and netfilter.
• Ability to design and integrate RESTful APIs and backend systems.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and comply with U.S. export control laws.
• Experience operating and debugging large-scale distributed systems in production.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Rust.
• Experience with TLS termination, PROXY protocol, or L4/L7 proxies like Envoy or Nginx.
• Knowledge of ClickHouse, Kafka, or large-scale analytics pipelines.
• Contributions to open-source networking projects.
