Salary: GBP 72,000 - 90,000

What you will do

• Own features end-to-end across the stack, from API and data model design in Go to user-facing workflows in TypeScript/React.
• Design and evolve architectural components for scheduling, probe lifecycle, and telemetry ingestion to ensure product scalability.
• Build cross-product and AI-assisted workflows that connect Synthetic Monitoring to the broader Grafana Cloud platform.
• Implement governance and organization primitives to enable enterprise-scale management of Synthetic Monitoring as code.
• Ensure system quality and reliability through rigorous testing, observability, and detailed documentation.
• Participate in the team's on-call rotation and take full ownership of the production services you operate.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Go, or deep experience in other systems languages like Rust, Java, or C++.
• Operational mindset with experience owning production services and managing on-call responsibilities.
• Systems thinking capability to reason about data flow, failure modes, and operational behavior across components.
• Pragmatic approach to development, focusing on breaking complex problems into incremental deliverables and MVPs.
• Experience with user-centered software development processes.
• Must be located in Spain, Sweden, UK, Ireland, or Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience designing or operating multi-tenant SaaS systems at scale.
• Knowledge of observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, or Sentry.
• Experience with Kubernetes in a production environment.
• Familiarity with k6, Playwright, or browser automation at scale.
• History of contributing to or maintaining open source projects.
