What you will do

• Lead the mechanical design of quadcopter structures, fuselages, and quick-release mechanisms in SolidWorks.
• Manage spatial layouts and enclosure design for tight integration of PCBs, motors, and sensors.
• Execute hands-on lab validation including vibrational testing, modal analysis, and thermal chamber runs.
• Perform structural (FEA) and thermal simulations to ensure performance in extreme environments.
• Partner with industrialization and procurement teams to optimize parts for CNC, injection molding, and additive manufacturing.
• Support assembly sequences and design build jigs to ensure high production quality.

Requirements

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on UAV design experience or 6+ years in complex robotics/electromechanical hardware.
• Proven track record taking electromechanical assemblies from CAD concept to production.
• Practical experience with DFM for plastic injection molding, CNC, and 3D printing.
• Strong grounding in applied physics, specifically structural rigidity, heat dissipation, and vibration isolation.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to take full ownership of hardware architecture.
