What you will do

• Own features end-to-end from design through implementation, testing, and release using Java and the Spring Framework.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and integrate them with MySQL databases.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code to accelerate prototyping and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Frontend, QA, Product, and Data Science, within an Agile environment.
• Implement observability, including logs, metrics, and alerts, to ensure production reliability and handle incident response.
• Contribute to data modeling and reporting using the Elastic Stack and Elasticsearch queries.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Solid expertise with the Spring Framework and SQL databases (preferably MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• Proven experience designing RESTful web services and writing unit and integration tests.
• Must have the right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship offered).
• Ability to independently design solutions and produce technical design documentation (ADRs).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience building SaaS products or working in high-growth environments.
• Exposure to AWS and the Elastic Stack for data modeling and reporting.
