Senior Data Engineer (Python)

What you will do

• Design and build batch data pipelines that ingest, validate, and transform multi-billion-row datasets.
• Develop and maintain complex dimensional and temporal data models.
• Operate workloads on a lakehouse platform (Databricks/Spark/Delta) and a data warehouse (Redshift).
• Orchestrate pipelines using Airflow, managing scheduling, dependencies, and backfills.
• Build and maintain Python REST APIs (FastAPI, Flask) to serve data to internal products.
• Optimize query performance, table design, and compute costs while monitoring production stability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience as a data engineer.
• Expert proficiency in Python and SQL for complex analytical queries and development.
• Hands-on experience with distributed processing (Spark/Databricks) and columnar warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery).
• Strong experience with Airflow and AWS infrastructure (S3, IAM, ECS).
• Proficiency in Docker and CI/CD engineering best practices.
• Availability to work 11:00 AM — 8:00 PM EEST to align with U.S. based teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Delta Lake and medallion lakehouse architectures.
• Background in advertising, media, or measurement industry data.
• Experience migrating legacy pipelines with strict parity requirements.
