Senior Data Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer (Databricks/Python): Designing and deploying advanced data analytics solutions and pipelines for a large-scale tax lifecycle transformation project with an accent on performance tuning, data modeling, and ETL optimization. Focus on building robust, scalable data ingestion and processing systems using Apache Spark and Delta Lake to deliver key business insights.

Location: Must be based in Ukraine (Remote or Hybrid).

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable data models and analytics pipelines.
• Develop and deploy data solutions, including dashboards and reports for business insights.
• Optimize complex SQL and DAX queries for high performance.
• Manage data ingestion, batch, and near-real-time processing across multiple storages.
• Identify platform gaps to improve quality, robustness, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor members on best practices.

Requirements

• Must be based in Ukraine.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Apache Spark and Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Pandas.
• Solid understanding of columnar storage (Parquet) and Delta Lake.
• Proven ability to handle large data volumes and perform query optimization.
