Staff Software Engineer (Fullstack): Defining the architectural vision and technical roadmap for a core API platform with an accent on microservices, cloud infrastructure, and high-impact product delivery. Location: Must be based in the UK and able to work in a hybrid model from Bristol, Glasgow, or London hubs.
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000

What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to foster a high-performance culture and support career growth.
- Take technical ownership of the core product area, defining architectural vision and roadmap.
- Design and build scalable, high-quality microservices-based solutions.
- Partner with product managers and stakeholders to align technical strategy with business goals.
- Champion engineering best practices, including automated testing and code reviews.
- Contribute to the engineering Community of Practice to share expertise and drive collective improvement.
Requirements
- Must have the right to work in the UK as sponsorship is not available.
- Extensive professional experience in software development and team leadership.
- Expertise in microservices architecture using Node.js, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, and React.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD.
- Strong command of database systems, data modeling, and software design patterns.
- Exceptional communication skills for managing stakeholders and driving technical consensus.
