Bioinformatician / Data Scientist

Overview

This role involves collaborating with clients to understand research goals and developing computational strategies for analyzing large-scale biological datasets. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to implement computational pipelines for processing diverse biological data types and perform statistical analysis to identify patterns and biomarkers.

What you will do

• Collaborate with clients and interdisciplinary teams to design bioinformatics and data analysis solutions.
• Develop and implement computational pipelines and workflows for processing and analyzing biological data.
• Perform statistical analysis and data mining to identify patterns and predictive models.
• Develop pipelines for processing NGS data using Nextflow.
• Present findings to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in bioinformatics.

Requirements

• Experience in Unix, SQL databases (PostgreSQL), REST APIs, Cloud computing (AWS), and HPC.
• Solid understanding of bioinformatics concepts, algorithms, and tools.
• Experience analyzing high-throughput genomic, transcriptomic, or proteomic data.
• Hands-on experience with creating single-cell and bulk RNA-seq data processing pipelines.
• Proficiency in pipeline development using Nextflow (preferred), Cromwell, or other popular framework.
• English level B2 or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis and variant calling.
• Knowledge of structural bioinformatics and molecular modeling.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and big data analysis frameworks.
• Experience with orchestration tools and virtualized environments (Docker, K8S).
