Senior Data Scientist (AI/ML)

Location: European Union region; work permit required. On-site workshops in Warsaw up to 1–3 times per quarter.

What you will do

• Design, refine, and evaluate machine learning scoring models such as CTR, CVR, and ROAS models for core bidding logic.
• Design model-strategy architectures integrating user, product, and placement signals for high-throughput and low-latency environments.
• Translate strategic business goals into measurable modeling outcomes and technical roadmaps with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Lead end-to-end model development from problem framing and feature design through evaluation and production handoff.
• Provide technical leadership and quality assurance for data science workstreams.
• Mentor Data Scientists and improve modeling standards across the team.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience designing, training, and improving deep learning models for business-critical production use cases.
• Strong practical experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, Pandas, NumPy, advanced SQL, and production-level Python.
• Experience with public cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud Platform, including Vertex AI and Vertex Pipelines.
• Strong engineering foundations, including testable and documented code and familiarity with CI/CD practices.
• Relevant STEM degree or extensive professional experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Methods, Physics, or a related field.
• Work from the European Union region and a valid work permit are required.

Nice to have

• Experience developing machine learning models for low-latency online applications.
• Experience in advertising or marketing, including CTR and CVR modeling.
• Knowledge of traditional machine learning techniques such as Gradient Boosted Trees.
• Experience with mentoring, technical leadership, or coordinating model development across a broader team.
• Practical use of AI-assisted coding tools to improve engineering productivity and quality.
