Linux Software Engineer (Embedded)

What you will do

• Integrate new i.MX devices into the Linux BSP to ensure high-quality release deliverables.
• Develop, design, and maintain Linux kernel drivers on i.MX platforms.
• Maintain existing i.MX products following NXP's Linux software evolution strategy.
• Contribute upstream to the broader Linux kernel community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline.
• 1+ years of software development experience with embedded systems.
• Experience in embedded firmware and Linux kernel development.
• Valid visa and work permit to work in Romania.

Nice to have

• General CPU and computer architecture knowledge.
• Knowledge of Linux internals such as memory, scheduling, and device drivers.
• Experience with ARM-based systems hardware bring-up and low-level debugging.
• Active contributions to open source communities and the Linux kernel.
