Principal Software Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Review software specifications, architecture, and design documents.
• Develop software components using C++ and Linux.
• Perform functional testing and participate in code review sessions.
• Provide root cause analysis and fix issues for delivered software components.
• Analyze existing embedded software to add features, modify, or port to different platforms.
• Coordinate development activities with the SW Engineering Manager and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant IT field.
• At least 5+ years of experience as a software developer with C/C++ knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of Embedded Linux Architecture.
• Experience in developing embedded applications.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel (0-20% of time) for training or coordination.

Nice to have

• Understanding of network technologies (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs).
• Automotive industry experience.
• Knowledge of agile software development methods (SCRUM, SAFe Agile).
• Linux kernel and power management experience.
