What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated firmware security analysis pipelines for vulnerability discovery.
• Build low-level tooling using C++, Python, and LLVM to analyze firmware at scale.
• Develop compiler passes and transformations to convert firmware into LLVM Intermediate Representation (IR).
• Create and improve fuzzing harnesses to maximize code coverage and perform root-cause analysis of crashes.
• Develop AI-assisted systems that classify firmware functionality and generate security analysis artifacts.
• Collaborate with security researchers to prototype new capabilities and harden them for production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional experience developing systems software using C and/or C++.
• 5+ years of experience with LLVM, compiler infrastructure, or program analysis.
• 3–5+ years of experience with fuzzing, vulnerability research, or application security.
• Proficiency with Python for automation and experience working in Linux development environments.
• Must be based in or able to work 3 days onsite in Redmond, WA.

Nice to have

• Experience with bare-metal software, HALs, MMIO, or firmware rehosting techniques.
• Knowledge of fuzzing tools like libFuzzer, AFL, or AFL++, and sanitizers (ASan, UBSan, MSan).
• Experience with static analysis, dataflow analysis, or CodeQL.
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI-assisted automation into security tooling.
• Contributions to open-source software projects.
