TL;DR
Software Developer Engineering Tools (Python/C++): Developing and maintaining internal software solutions for structural design of wind energy systems with an accent on steel and concrete structural analysis. Focus on implementing complex civil engineering algorithms and building standalone GUI applications.
Location: Hamburg or Rostock, Germany. Hybrid (up to 8 days of mobile work per month)

What you will do
- Maintain and develop internal software tools for wind turbine tower and foundation structural analysis.
- Implement complex algorithms for civil engineering applications, focusing on steel and concrete structures.
- Develop and optimize standalone applications with graphical user interfaces for engineering use.
- Design software solutions based on technical calculation models and integrate them into existing tool environments.
- Collaborate with structural, load, and IT experts to translate technical requirements into functional software.
- Provide user support, perform error analysis, and drive continuous improvement of applications.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, or a comparable field.
- Strong knowledge of software design, Clean Code, SOLID principles, and architectural patterns.
- Proficiency in Python and C++.
- Experience with version control (Git) and platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitLab.
- Knowledge of automated testing, specifically unit and integration testing.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of PyQt/Qt, C#, .NET Core, or ASP.NET.
- Experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, or the NX Open API.
