Salary: $142,000 - $206,000

What you will do

• Serve as the primary SOX liaison to the Technology organization to drive a scalable control environment across ITGCs, access controls, and change management.
• Operationalize the AI SOX Governance Framework, managing risk classification and control standards for AI/ML systems with financial reporting impact.
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls across technology, AI, and data environments.
• Lead ITGC and automated control walkthroughs with external auditors and co-source teams.
• Manage the deficiency evaluation process, including root cause analysis and remediation monitoring.
• Perform quality assurance of workpapers and prepare SOX materials for senior leadership and the Audit & Risk Committee.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Big 4 public accounting, risk consulting, or SOX industry roles, focused on IT and technology risk.
• Must be able to work out of the San Diego, Mountain View, or Atlanta office at least 3 times a week.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Deep expertise in IT General Controls (ITGCs), PCAOB standards, and the COSO framework.
• Experience designing or governing AI/ML controls frameworks or model risk management programs.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to optimize SOX processes and drive operational efficiencies.

Nice to have

• Industry experience in Fintech or software.
• Certifications: CISA, CIA, CISSP, CPA, or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
• Hands-on experience with GRC platforms (e.g., AuditBoard) and data tools (Tableau, Smartsheet).
