Java Tech Lead (Fintech): Building a new greenfield fintech platform for a banking institution with an accent on microservices, event-driven architecture, and fullstack oversight. Location: Hybrid (2 days per week from the office) in Gdynia, Gdańsk, Warszawa, Rzeszów, or Kraków, Poland

Salary: 1300 - 1600 PLN per man-day on B2B

What you will do

• Lead a cross-functional squad through the full software delivery lifecycle.
• Own the technical direction of the project, primarily focusing on the backend.
• Design and evolve system architecture within a microservices and event-driven environment.
• Ensure high code quality through rigorous reviews, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers and Business Analysts to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute hands-on to development and provide technical mentorship to the team.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of commercial experience in software development.
• Proven experience in a Tech Lead role.
• Strong expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem (Boot, MVC, Cloud).
• Solid understanding of fullstack application architecture, including exposure to React and/or Flutter.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and PostgreSQL.
• Fluent English (C1) is required for clear communication of technical decisions.

Nice to have

• Hands-on or architectural experience with React and/or Flutter.
• Experience with Kafka, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Kubernetes.
• Background in banking or fintech projects.
• Experience building and scaling greenfield systems.
