• Partner with product managers, designers, and business leads to develop and execute technical strategies for the Banking organization.
• Influence leadership across the organization to drive sound and efficient technical decisions.
• Contribute directly to technical designs and maintain hands-on code contributions.
• Maintain and enforce high engineering standards for yourself and your teammates.
• Coach and mentor engineers to grow their technical breadth and depth.
• Apply an AI-first mindset to raise the bar of AI application across the team.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software development or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading large-scale features from planning through execution.
• Proven ability to design and land globally optimal solutions in complex systems.
• Strong track record of helping other engineers grow.
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Must be based in Canada

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, Kotlin, and AWS.
• Knowledge of gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Kafka, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with Hibernate, Aurora, MySQL, DynamoDB, or Redis.
• Familiarity with DataDog, Buildkite, and Gradle.
