What you will do

• Own and evolve foundational Android infrastructure including modularization, dependency injection, navigation, and app lifecycle systems.
• Design and deliver shared libraries and frameworks with developer and AI ergonomics as a first-class concern.
• Drive Android architecture forward and invent platform technology to be open-sourced.
• Evolve the organization's use of AI by evaluating and integrating emerging tools like Claude Code and GPT/Codex.
• Lead cross-cutting technical initiatives, conduct architecture reviews, and mentor engineers across the Android community.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Android development experience with a demonstrated track record of organizational-scale impact.
• Deep expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, modern architecture patterns, and performance profiling.
• Platform builder's mindset with experience creating systems for other engineers.
• AI-native development practice with a strong point of view on AI's leverage in engineering.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be based in the US (determined by regional salary zones).

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Background in fintech, financial services, or high-trust regulated environments.
• Experience with mobile experimentation infrastructure, feature flagging, or A/B testing at scale.
