What you will do

• Apply a scientific mindset to underwriting new customer segments using alternative external data sources and advanced modeling architectures to improve predictive accuracy.
• Lead ML Operations and infrastructure initiatives to scale data ingestion and enable more complex neural network approaches.
• Design and implement the full credit modeling stack, owning the lifecycle of credit decisioning and ensuring robust production integration.
• Use data science techniques to turn messy datasets into actionable features and clearer business decisions.
• Identify and execute material improvements to credit policy by analyzing where technical or logic shifts improve outcomes for customers and the bank’s portfolio.
• Support scheduled and ad-hoc updates to existing models and troubleshoot issues in a real-time production environment within a regulated banking framework.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience, focused on developing and deploying ML/statistical models in production.
• Technical degree (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Engineering), with strong preference for scientific research or advanced degrees.
• Strong quantitative intuition and data visualization skills, with experience performing sophisticated exploratory and ad-hoc analysis.
• Full-stack proficiency across the technical stack, from data pipelines to production-grade software architecture.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.
• Pragmatic problem-solving approach balancing business, technical, and regulatory constraints.
