What you will do
- Own the localization strategy, quality bar, and final sign-off for all Russian content across all titles.
- Develop and enforce glossaries, style guides, and cultural content policies for the Russian market.
- Act as the primary advisor for cultural risk mitigation, identifying regional sensitivities to protect the brand.
- Review and edit in-game text, UI, scripts, and VO for tone, clarity, fluency, and cultural relevance.
- Lead VO casting, script review, and direct creative sessions during Russian voiceover production.
- Collaborate with LQA, marketing, and development teams to ensure global alignment and compliance with Russian age ratings.
Requirements
- Professional localization experience in games, tech, or entertainment.
- Native fluency in Russian with demonstrated mastery of tone and regional nuance.
- Advanced English fluency (C1) capable of representing language decisions across global teams.
- Deep understanding of the regional gaming landscape, pop culture, and localization methodologies.
- Familiarity with localization tools such as CAT tools, translation memory systems, XLOC, and JIRA.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Madrid, Spain.
Nice to have
- Experience with VO scripting, dubbing production, and linguistic performance direction.
- Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, media, or a related field.
