Product Manager, Platforms (Media)

TL;DR

Product Manager, Platforms (Media): Developing and executing audience and revenue-driving initiatives for market-leading news products with an accent on platform performance, streaming experiences, and technical product management. Focus on product discovery, optimizing user value, and leading cross-functional Agile teams to reduce technical and UX debt.

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY (minimum 4 days per week in office)

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 yearly

What you will do

• Develop and advocate for the product vision and strategy for digital platforms.
• Manage the product roadmap, including annual and quarterly KPIs and OKRs.
• Lead a cross-functional Agile team, authoring user stories and prioritizing the backlog.
• Utilize product discovery experiments to identify value-driven opportunities for users and business.
• Collaborate with editorial, marketing, advertising, and business development teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of digital growth experience, specifically in platform performance and streaming.
• Proven track record of delivering valuable customer and business outcomes.
• Strong expertise in analytics and using user research to drive product decisions.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, sprint management, and debt elimination.
• Must be able to work from the New York office at least 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience in media, news, or technology/internet industries.
• Knowledge of Design Thinking, Lean Product, and Product Discovery.
