What you will do

• Create storytelling photos for news, features, sports, print, digital platforms, and the website.
• Cover spot news and deliver photos quickly under deadline pressure.
• Gather accurate information for AP-style photo captions and occasional stories.
• Communicate story context and visual impact through photography.
• Coordinate effectively with reporters, editors, and other photojournalists.
• Follow photojournalistic standards and ethics while contributing to a collaborative newsroom culture.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a staff photographer and photojournalist at a daily or weekly newspaper.
• At least two years of professional journalism experience.
• Experience creating digital content and using social media platforms.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, availability for shift work, and willingness to complete a pre-employment background check and MVR check are required.
