What you will do

• Architect large-scale evaluation pipelines to quantify the accuracy and reliability of simulation tests for AV software validation.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with Autonomy, Systems Engineering, Simulation, and Data teams to integrate evaluation products into development workflows.
• Invent and implement novel methodologies to characterize the trustworthiness and effectiveness of simulation testing at scale.
• Drive technical roadmaps and strategic priorities for simulation technologies aligned with AV goals.
• Own and refine key simulation evaluation metrics and KPIs used for readiness and safety decisions.
• Maintain high technical standards through architectural design, design reviews, and code reviews.

Requirements

• 7+ years of applied experience developing complex evaluation, simulation, or test frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python for production systems, including unit testing and reliability best practices.
• Proven technical leadership in defining strategies adopted by multiple teams and influencing architecture decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication for driving decisions and communicating risk to stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in autonomous driving or high-stakes field robotics.
• Experience with test strategies and validation for safety-critical products.
• Data-driven curiosity for investigating anomalies and root-causing discrepancies.
• Familiarity with SQL, time-series data analysis, and dashboarding systems (e.g., Looker, Streamlit).
