Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Warren, MI (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office).

What you will do

• Lead crashworthiness development for vehicle structures across future programs.
• Perform high-speed frontal, side, and rear impact simulations using LS-DYNA.
• Synthesize physical and virtual test results to meet safety technical requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing to implement design changes.
• Support physical safety testing at Milford Proving Grounds, including teardowns and result interpretation.
• Present performance status and design recommendations at technical forums.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Math.
• 5+ years of experience in virtual CAE, CAE design, or physical testing for vehicle development.
• Proficiency in analytical problem-solving and complex system integration.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Must be able to work on-site in Warren, MI at least 3 times per week.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or Math.
• Experience with FMVSS standards.
• Proficiency in ANSA, LS-DYNA, Unigraphics, TeamCenter, and VisMockup.
• Familiarity with GM’s Global Vehicle Development Process.
