Senior Forward Deployed Engineer - FDE (Fullstack)

Location: Berlin, Germany or Munich, Germany; travel to customers 20% of the time

What you will do

• Build and productionize customer solutions spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.
• Lead architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable, production-grade systems.
• Design and deploy data architectures, custom applications, ingestion pipelines, and ML/AI integrations.
• Guide customers through project implementation, evaluation, adoption, and technical enablement.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, customer support, project managers, architects, and customer teams.
• Develop reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that influence the product roadmap.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
• Ability to write production code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
• Experience with at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark, including Spark runtime internals.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, MLOps, ML/AI models, AI APIs, and end-to-end production data architectures.
• Experience delivering technical projects for enterprise clients, managing scope and timelines, documenting solutions, and handling diverse stakeholders.
