Software Engineer II (.NET)

TL;DR

Software Engineer II (.NET) (IoT/Fullstack): Building and maintaining backend services and APIs for an access control platform with an accent on bridging cloud software with real-world IoT hardware. Focus on developing scalable event pipelines, device communication layers, and integrating physical controllers and locks.

Location: Kraków, Poland. Employees work fully from the office with possibility to work remotely occasionally.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data models for the access control platform.
• Build the device communication layer connecting cloud services to physical hardware, including panels, readers, and locks.
• Develop features across the full stack, contributing to the web front-end using Ember.js.
• Manage the complete development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and production monitoring.
• Work directly with physical access control hardware to develop, test, and debug integrations.
• Collaborate with product managers and hardware engineers across different time zones to improve product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills; experience with C# is a plus.
• Experience developing backend services, HTTP APIs (REST), and SQL database design.
• Familiarity with a modern JavaScript framework such as Ember.js, Angular, or React.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Kraków office.

Nice to have

• Experience working with hardware, IoT, or device development.
• Familiarity with integration testing and CI/CD pipelines.
