What you will do

• Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for the data platform.
• Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable data solutions to support business growth.
• Establish best practices for data architecture, modeling, and engineering standards.
• Lead complex technical initiatives and make strategic architectural decisions across teams.
• Partner with Product and Engineering stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Mentor Data Engineers and foster technical growth and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python for building robust ETL/ELT pipelines and modular libraries.
• Advanced SQL skills with PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and execution plan analysis.
• Strong experience with dbt for data modeling, testing, and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with Dagster or similar orchestration tools.
• Solid knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for deploying data services and microservices.
• Ability to commute to the Barcelona office a couple of times a week.
