BI Engineer (Microsoft Stack)

What you will do

• Design and develop company-wide BI solutions and operational performance dashboards.
• Deliver and maintain SSRS reports and data visualizations using Power BI.
• Implement and instill a Test Driven Development (TDD) mindset using Visual Studio and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Define, update, and adhere to software development patterns and standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture requirements and shape reporting tools.
• Mentor and coach less experienced MI/BI colleagues.

Requirements

• Expert-level T-SQL skills and strong understanding of ETL and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, Power BI).
• Experience with SQL Server (2008/12/16), Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps.
• Ability to create and execute SQL Server unit tests.
• Must be based in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Azure SQL.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory.
