Proposal Coordinator (m/f/d) (Aerospace)

Location: Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich, Germany; hybrid and mobile work abroad are offered.

What you will do

• Manage or support the preparation of proposals across space-sector programs and customer types.
• Lead proposal teams to deliver high-quality submissions on time and within cost targets.
• Ensure proposals address formal tender requirements and customer technical, programmatic, financial, contractual, industrial, and political needs.
• Coordinate content and cost reviews and align expectations across internal stakeholders.
• Organize and deliver internal training on the proposal process.
• Maintain proposal KPIs, analyze proposal statistics, and support process and quality improvements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or an equivalent field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or physics.
• At least 3 years of strong experience in proposal management with institutional customers.
• Entrepreneurial and strategic mindset with a strong focus on quality and cost.
• Advanced MS Office skills, including VBA coding and high-level MS Word proficiency, plus advanced editing tools such as Adobe and InDesign.
• Very good written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in cost engineering and the space sector, especially commercial space.
• Background in systems engineering and project management.
• Knowledge of German; other European languages are an advantage.
