Associate Engineer (for Robotics students)

Location: Katowice, Poland; candidates must be located in Poland and willing to commute to the Katowice office.

Salary: 34 PLN/hour.

What you will do

• Support the development and maintenance of robotic software and information system components.
• Configure and integrate software, hardware, networks, companion computers, and controllers.
• Analyze and resolve incidents, technical issues, and escalated events.
• Develop and execute software and unit tests, validate product reliability, and test prototypes in laboratory, field, and simulated environments.
• Operate and monitor systems, support production releases, and propose technical improvements.
• Train and support users and customers while collaborating with project teams and participating in technical meetings.

Requirements

• Must be a student in Robotics and located in Poland with willingness to commute to Katowice.
• Knowledge of MAVLink and network or serial communication protocols, including UART, UDP, TCP, and I2C.
• Programming skills in C++ and Python, with familiarity with MAVSDK or PyMAVLink.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of ROS/ROS2 and Linux, particularly Ubuntu.
• Knowledge of electronics, microcontrollers, soldering, sensor integration, robotic system architecture, closed-loop control systems, and PID controllers.
• Good command of English is required for effective use of technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PX4 Autopilot or ArduPilot and familiarity with QGroundControl or Mission Planner.
• Experience with Gazebo, jMAVSim, Software-in-the-Loop configuration, or testing.
• Basic understanding of mobile robot kinematics, including differential drive and Ackermann steering.
