TL;DR
Student (Bootloader Software Engineering) (C/Embedded/Optical Transport): Supporting bootloader development, testing, debugging, and hardware bring-up for next-generation telecommunications products with an accent on low-level C programming, Linux, and real-hardware lab work. Focus on implementing bootloader features, reproducing hardware issues, running integration tests, and supporting New Product Introduction activities under experienced mentorship.

Location: Gdynia, Poland; at least 20 hours per week in the Gdynia office

Salary: 6,000 PLN per month for a full-time position

What you will do

  • Support the development, testing, and debugging of bootloader software for telecommunications systems.
  • Implement smaller features and bug fixes in C under the guidance of experienced engineers.
  • Work with hardware prototypes by flashing images, supporting board bring-up, collecting logs, and reproducing issues.
  • Write and run unit and integration tests.
  • Support product function testing for New Product Introduction.
  • Prepare and update technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Be a third-year student of Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Automation and Robotics, or a related field.
  • Availability for at least 20 hours per week in the Gdynia office.
  • Good knowledge of C and basic Linux command-line and Bash experience.
  • Familiarity with GCC and Git through university or personal projects.
  • Interest in embedded systems and low-level software.
  • Sufficient English to read technical documentation and communicate with colleagues.

Nice to have

  • Experience with microcontrollers or embedded boards.
  • Basic understanding of boot processes, memory, peripherals, UART, SPI, and I2C.
  • Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, or logic analyzers.
  • Basic hardware knowledge and the ability to read schematics.
  • Basic understanding of Python and GNU Make.
