Data Center Engineer

Location: On-site at Vernon, CA Data Center

Salary: $115,000–$153,000 per year

What you will do

• Rack, label, cable, and configure new server, storage, and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in advanced GPU and networking systems.
• Document and update data center layout and network topology using DCIM software.
• Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing teams for timely system deployments.
• Manage parts inventory and track equipment through delivery and deployment stages.
• Collaborate with hardware support and RMA teams to resolve incidents and manage faulty parts.
• Follow installation standards to ensure consistency across data centers.

Requirements

• Must be present on-site in Vernon, CA data center with shift work
• Experience with critical infrastructure systems: power distribution, air flow management, environmental monitoring, capacity planning, DCIM software, structured cabling, and cable management.
• Familiarity with carrier DIA circuit testing, fiber troubleshooting, and cable optics.
• Solid understanding of single and three-phase power theories and PDU balancing.
• Knowledge of server hardware, boot processes, and containment strategies.
• Willingness to travel 25%-30% for new data center bring-ups.

Nice to have

• 5+ years experience with critical infrastructure systems supporting data centers.
• Knowledge of network topology, 400gb Infiniband architectures, and cluster storage systems.
• Experience with ticketing systems like JIRA and Zendesk.
• Advanced Linux administration skills.
• Experience with high-performance GPU systems, especially Nvidia NVL72.
