Training & Site Compliance H&S Specialist (Pharmaceutical HSE)

Location: Nerviano, Milan, Italy

Budgeted salary range: €39,000–€49,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the site HSE training matrix, role-based competency requirements, mandatory training programs, contractor inductions, onboarding, refresher training, and emergency drills.
• Manage the HSE Learning Management System, training records, competency documentation, completion monitoring, effectiveness KPIs, and digital learning solutions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Site HSE Management System, including procedures, standards, work instructions, document lifecycle management, and digital approval workflows.
• Coordinate Seveso, Major Accident Prevention Policy, Safety Management System, and emergency-response training, ensuring competencies for safety-critical activities.
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation, audits, management reviews, corrective and preventive actions, and HSE performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with HR, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Corporate HSE, and the Process Safety & Seveso Specialist during commissioning and organizational growth.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety, or another relevant scientific discipline.
• Experience in HSE management within pharmaceutical, chemical, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience developing and managing training programs.
• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Good knowledge of Italian HSE legislation.
• Fluent Italian and English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with electronic document management systems such as Veeva.
• Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, influencing, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to develop and implement management systems, govern documents, standardize processes, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and project-based environments.
