What you will do

• Perform chemical, physical, and visual testing on raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products.
• Record test data and usage decisions in SAP to ensure traceability and quality control.
• Calculate and determine raw material adjustment amounts to meet product specifications.
• Create non-conformance notifications and lead preliminary investigations for non-conforming materials.
• Collect and store retain samples and maintain laboratory equipment and housekeeping standards.
• Support customer complaint investigations through comprehensive batch and sample reviews.

Requirements

• Junior college degree or higher in a chemistry-related field.
• Practical laboratory experience.
• Proficiency with Windows-based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to strictly follow safety requirements and use appropriate PPE.
• Ability to work on-site in Grand Rapids, MI on a 12-night shift (2-2-3 schedule).

Nice to have

• Experience within the chemical industry.
• Familiarity with SAP data entry processes.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally.
