Postdoc Theoretical Biophysics Sars-Cov2 (Sars-CoV-2)

Location: Delft, Netherlands; relocation to the Netherlands may be required.

Salary: €3,706–€5,760 per month, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities.

What you will do

• Study theoretically how SARS-CoV-2 genomic RNA is selectively packaged.
• Investigate the role of the viral N-protein in genomic RNA packaging.
• Develop and apply stochastic models, molecular-dynamics simulations, and Bayesian inference methods.
• Analyse data and collaborate closely with experimental research groups.
• Participate in joint projects with other group members and experimental colleagues.
• Help shape and develop the direction of the research project.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Nanobiology, Mathematics, Bioengineering, or a related discipline.
• PhD in Physics, Applied Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience with statistical physics, stochastic processes, and/or data-analysis methods.
• Strong interest in engaging and collaborating with experimental colleagues.
• Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands if required.
