TL;DR
Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Officer (veterinary medicines): Coordinating veterinary antimicrobial sales and use surveillance, Member State reporting, data quality assurance, and analytical outputs with an accent on digital surveillance tools, Power BI dashboards, and regulatory collaboration. Focus on maintaining the ASU Platform, validating and analysing animal antimicrobial data, and supporting ESUAvet reports and cross-agency AMR assessments.

Location: hirify.global Amsterdam, Netherlands; relocation to the Netherlands is mandatory.

Salary: €4,449.31 per month including local weighting, based on a full-time 40-hour contract.

The European Medicines Agency supports the regulation and scientific evaluation of medicines and coordinates European public-health activities related to medicines safety and antimicrobial resistance.

What you will do

  • Lead the maintenance and continuous enhancement of the Antimicrobial Sale and Use Platform, associated digital tools, visualisation tools, and Power BI dashboards.
  • Manage business requirements, IT releases, testing, user support, and improvements that strengthen efficiency and data quality.
  • Coordinate Member State reporting on antimicrobial sales, use, and animal population data under Article 57 of Regulation (EU) 2019/6.
  • Perform data validation, quality assurance, analysis, and analytical contributions to ESUAvet reports and dashboards.
  • Support stakeholder relationships, scientific meetings, workshops, documentation, discussions, and follow-up actions.
  • Contribute to antimicrobial resistance activities, CVMP scientific advice, legislative implementation, and JIACRA reports.

Requirements

  • EU, Icelandic, Liechtenstein, or Norwegian citizenship with full rights is required.
  • English at C1 level and another official EU language at B2 level are required.
  • A minimum three-year university degree in veterinary medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, epidemiology, biological sciences, statistics, data science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • At least two years of relevant full-time professional experience in medicines research, development, manufacture, regulation, authorisation, or data collection, management, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Oracle BI, R, or equivalent.
  • Strong communication, technical writing, stakeholder engagement, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Experience in antimicrobial resistance or analysis of veterinary antimicrobial medicine data.
  • Project, process, or procedure management experience, including Agile methodologies such as SAFe Agile.
  • Experience working in an international, multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and their application to data analysis.
