Senior Data Platform Engineer (Python)

Location: Hybrid work in Tbilisi or Limassol

What you will do

• Optimize the existing data platform and transform pipelines into transparent, controlled processes.
• Build platform components and data processing pipelines for Reference Data Management.
• Develop self-service tools for developers, analysts, data stewards, and domain owners.
• Implement reusable data quality checks for platform teams.
• Build mechanisms for golden record determination in reference data.
• Participate in hiring as the team grows.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong Python skills as the primary platform language.
• Fluent SQL, including query profiling and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with a batch orchestration tool such as Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or Kestra.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and data quality tools such as Great Expectations, Soda, or similar.
• Experience with OLTP and OLAP databases, including Postgres and ClickHouse, plus data lakes or lakehouses with time travel.

Nice to have

• Experience owning a key component of a mature data platform.
• Strong experience with comparable data engineering tools and technologies.
