Intern Corporate Sector Lending – Wholesale Banking (f/m/x)

Location: Frankfurt, Germany; hybrid working with regular office attendance

What you will do

• Analyze client, financial, and market information to assess credit risks.
• Prepare credit proposals covering company and sector analysis, financial modelling, covenant reviews, peer benchmarking, and loan documentation.
• Support financing transactions and learn how corporate facilities are structured, documented, approved, and implemented.
• Contribute to portfolio management, including client monitoring, rating reviews, and maintaining internal systems.
• Coordinate with relationship management, risk management, legal, operations, and product teams.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, business administration, finance, accounting, banking, law, or a comparable field, including a gap year between degree programs.
• Strong interest in credit analysis, corporate finance, financial statements, and corporate lending.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative working style.
• Strong written and spoken English and German required.
• Available for a six-month internship and enrolled in a degree program throughout the full internship period.

Nice to have

• Practical experience in wholesale banking, corporate banking, credit risk, corporate finance, debt advisory, transaction services, restructuring, or audit.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
